Emerson Model 404B Infra-red Tacho

The Emerson Model 404B Infra-red Tacho's small, effective beam [1/2” (1.27 cm) diameter at 1’ (30.48 cm) from the lens] makes it a good choice for sensing relatively small objects. It's visible red light also makes it extremely easy to align.The Model 404B is fully protected against moisture and other contamination and conforms to NEMA standards 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 12, and 13. For convenience, the Model 404B can be powered directly from an analyser. The optional Model 408 Battery Pack may also be used with the Model 404B for extended usage or for use in sunlit areas. The Model 404B Infra-red Phototach is recommended for indoor/outdoor use. It can be powered directly from the analyser or, for extended measurement sessions, with the optional battery pack.When used with Emerson’s Machinery Health Analysers, the phototachs provide a tach reference signal for applications that include measurement of turning speed, synchronous time averaging, machinery balancing, phase tracking and coastdown/startup analysis.
