Foundation load testing products offer an easy to use and cost-effective solution, that help to improve overall operational safety.
ASLT automatic static load test system
The Auto Static Load Test (ASLT) is a fully automatic system, designed to control and monitor foundation static load tests.
The ASLT system is supplied with a rugged site notebook, pre-loaded with the ASLT control software and calibration data for test transducers.
The system incorporates a data acquisition battery back-up, which allows the system to continue monitoring movement in the event of a power failure, without the loss of any data.
The electric powered, hydraulic load maintainer has a precision control system to allow applied load to be maintained accurately throughout the test.
Improved safety features enable you to monitor tests from a safe distance of up to 25 meters, removing the need for operatives to be in close proximity to potentially dangerous, highly loaded system components.
The control software enables the user to set up loading templates and safety limits and also to monitor the test in real time as it proceeds. Reports are produced automatically once the test is completed.

Data acquisition, pump control and data storage is all controlled by the user friendly ASLT software, and operated within Windows operating systems.
The software enables the operator to set up and save loading templates, as well as review and alter alarm settings accordingly. As the test proceeds the user can view all of the data in real-time and view plots of load versus settlement.
Displacement gauges can be calibrated in-situ with supplied gauge block and re-set remotely. Should the test be halted for any reason e.g. power failure, there are routines which enable the test to recommence without any loss of data.
The load, deflection and load maintainer readings are collected by the ASLT data logger and downloaded to a rugged on site PC. All data is presented in accordance with Eurocode7-EN-1997, the European standard for design of geotechnical structures.
Our user friendly system allows data to be viewed in real-time, comparing plots of load versus settlement as testing progresses. The software enables users to set up and save loading templates, and to also review and alter alarm settings accordingly.
SLT2 static load test system
The SLT2 is a semi-automatic system, designed system to monitor foundation static load tests remotely and accurately.
Featuring a 25m umbilical cable, SLT2 users are able to monitor safely and accurately from distance, eliminating the need for personnel to enter potentially dangerous testing zones.
The user friendly software allows operators to view data in real-time whilst plotting the load settlement data as the test progresses. Should the test be stopped for any reason, the continuous back up enables testing to recommence without any loss of data. Reports are produced automatically once the test is completed.
Benefits of the SLT2 system:
- Rugged transducers suitable for use on construction sites
- Will work with any notebook PC
- Displacement and load displayed in real-time
- Load / settlement graph plotted in real-time
- Full equipment training available
- Complete test package available
All of our equipment is supplied fully calibrated to UK national standards. | |

The SLT2 logging software is designed to operate on a PC with Windows operating software, and the data acquisition unit is connected to the PC running this software during the test.
There are two viewports to the software:
Data viewport - This enables you to enter the site details, calibrate and zero transducers, view load and settlement in real-time and also plot the load test in progress. Displayed transducer readings are refreshed every second.
Table viewport - This enables you to view a table of values saved during the tests at one minute intervals. This includes time, elapsed time, load (KN), individual gauge displacements (mm), average settlement (mm) and rate of settlement (mm/hr).
Printing
Once a test is stopped it is possible to print the following results:
- Table of results showing time, elapsed time, displacement readings, load readings and settlement rate
- Graph of applied load versus settlement at the pile head
- Graph of applied load and settlement at pile head versus elapsed time
All data is sorted in ASCII format making it possible to export and use in other applications.
